I have so much to tell you about my time in India! You would not believe some of the things I saw God doing – I can hardly believe it myself, and I was there!! Over the two weeks I was there, we saw more than 350 people become Christians, which gets me so excited every time I say it! It was such a privilege to preach the gospel in open air meetings and see people respond.
I loved praying for people too – they were just so open to receive everything that God wanted to give them. I think we have a lot to learn back here in UK about that! When we prayed for people to be healed, almost every one of them was instantly healed. It was such a joy to pray for 4 deaf people, all of whom were instantly able to hear – I love it when God does that! Two visually impaired people had their sight restored, two mute people spoke, two paralysed women walked and I lost count of the number of backs, knees and headaches that were healed. One man with a badly crushed hand was instantly healed; I asked him to put his hand on mine, and I placed my other hand on top of his and as I prayed for his healing I felt his hand twitch. When I moved my hands away his hand was totally restored and fully functional again – isn’t Jesus kind!
If all you have is God – then you have all you need!
It is always such a blessing to be with people who are really hungry for God no matter where in the world you are. God always satisfies that hunger. I suspect that God will only feed us according to our hunger too. I recently reminded my wonderful church family in Fleet that not only is God the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), but He is also the same at an evangelistic crusade in India as He is Hampshire! I loved it on Sunday evening when we gathered together to share stories of the goodness of God, to worship Him, and then to pray for one another – and to see the power of God touching people’s lives. God is so good, and it is such a privilege to serve Him!
One of my new friends from India messaged me this morning and reminded me of this: If all you have is God – then you have all you need! How true that is!
